Truth is there is a majority voting base in the center who are fed up with the left and the right. These people aren't into socialism but they tire of the extreme religious views. Truth is, they just want freedom. I for one don't want socialist laws nor religious conservative laws, I just want freedom. Trump's position is a kind of killing two birds with one stone. I think many people are going to vote for him if only to stop the run away left train.
Pro gun, pro union, that combination doesn't happen often.
He's smart enough to leave the union/non-union decision up to the states, which I agree with. I don't think you're going to sway either side. Run-away capitalism of the late 1800s really benefited no one but the very very top and there needs to be measures to balance it out. That said, the problem is encompassing the nonproductive absolute bottom who really have no desire to contribute anything to society besides their vote and ball-and-chain.
Where is the Republican party heading? They talk of the Trump splinter but it is looking more like the extreme-conservative splinter. One can only dream but in a perfect world Right-leftiest and Left-rightist would form a Moderate party.
