    Default How We Really Think.....

    Featured Sponsor

I like this guys opinions......they are right on target in my book......if I ever wrote an article, I would write one very similar to this one....as it very closely matches my ideas on the myths out there about people who look at themselves as liberals or progressives.

You are right Steve, they are not myths.....they are open ball-faced LIES meant to propogate hate, division and fear, and actually to insinuate that we hate all things this country was built on and are actually socialists.

There's 2 Medias EL. Fox, "fair and balanced" where the Truth, you don't WANT to hear is spoken...and....
the "barry democrat media". The Traditional, over YEARS, liberal, slanted networks of nbc, cbs, abc and msnbc. Where...Liberal "Mind candy" is spouted.

    hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha and ha
The news on the Comedy Channel is more accurate than Fox.

Instead of just ignoring whatever someone posts in response to your posts, read the link I posted and you will see what fox noise is doing right.....and it has nothing to do with accurate news reporting.

I can sum the whole article up for you, which has always been my opinion of fox noise, theatrics, sensationalism, and techno glitz. Kinda like watching a serial drama, that you just can't quite watching.

NO ONE spins $hit like fox noise. Come on, be honest......Fox noise chooses the "dark side" because of Murdock, and we all know about Republicans and the ultra rich mogels. Give me a break. fox is.....as the article states...........a joke. An all out personal and professional attack on the president of the United States isnt news.......it is more like a "hate crime" in print. Maybe Murdock tried to buy President Obama, and he wasn't for sale, or maybe he already had his dance card "plum all filled up" with republicans.

yes CL. fox is the "Jerry Springer" of news, but ya have to throw a little of that bumbling idiot "Dr Phil" in there too.

This is what I really think......John Boehner is a moonlighting politician......He must dig ditches, or help resurface roads, or maybe he is a lineman, on the side, cause no man I know of that has an inside job, from Ohio, has a freaking tan that makes a man from Florida look like a ghost.

The bumbling lying ignorant SOB, I'd like to kick him squarly in the "gnads"......he thinks it is time politicians sat down and had an honest talk with Americans about Social Security and how it is unsustainable....one charming idea is to raise the retirement age to 70, this coming from a man that I can see has never done a lick of actual physical labor in his life, other than swing a golf club(that is). Maybe if we raise the retirement age to 70 75% of us will die before we can ever collect a dime of monies we have contributed to our entire working lives. Ahhhhh, "Boner" I see, yes, that plan might work. And no we shouldnt let the Bush taxcuts expire for those making over $250,000 a year cause they are the ones who will create new jobs.......Damn, I havent seen em creating any new jobs(at least here in the US lately) Maybe over in Bangladesh, but not in these states.

I got an idea for you "Bonehead" why dont all you politicians keep your freaking hands out of Social Security and it might not be so unsustainable.
Instead of raising the retirement age to 70, you silly asshole, why dont you just get some of your pharmaceutical buds to start lacing us oldie's prescriptions with arsenic, it would probably be a more humane way of taking care of us than working us to death.

I told you my opinion on why fux news is so popular, there is nothing more to say...........it is pretty simple........I dont need to go on and on about it....I believe you said it...it is a mute point.

I am not changing the subject.......I made my point now I moved on to the tanman from Ohio, as he was on "Meet the Press" and the "pearls of wisdom" falling out of his ignorant mouth just made me want to vomit.

As for me being too smart, I get your slam, just to set the record straight, I am of average intelligence, at best. I like to read, and there is no such thing as "reading too much." Reading has nothing to do with intelligence, it just opens up your mind..... so keep takin your shots at me.

ps.....as for babies being born to illegal occupants of this country, I see you are insinuating that you know my opinion before I give it.......so for the record....instead of "thinking" you know how I think, let me actually put it in writing for you......I feel that children being born to illegals here in this country, what is the name of it again? oh yeah, America.....are illegal also.
You do not rewrite the constitution to further a political agenda though, an agenda that didnt mean Jack shit till President Obama took office, and is being used as an election ploy now. Their birthright is of the country of their parents citizenship....you mess with the constitution and that is just as unAmerican, what wording do we get to change next?

Back to "bonehead" boehner........and his mentioning of republicans wanting to raise the retirement age to 70......just for shits and giggles today, I was in a diner and picked up the local paper.........there were 14 obituaries from our surrounding area, including Bingamton NY and vicinity.........10 of the deceased listed were under 70. As I said......they wanna work us till we die, that is a sure way to make SS sustainable, with some surplus, if todays obits are any indication.......that way the gov't can keep dippin into it, and whose to know........many of the peops that payed their whole damn life will be dead without ever gettin a penny.

well they can all think about this..........

why dont they go out and get a REAL job, where you actually have to WORK to get money.......you know.......labor.........Even if asshole tanman "boner" only did it for a couple of years(without croaking from a heart attack, after his body goes into shock from actually doing something) lets see how he and his "butt" buddies feel about working till youre at death's door. Stupid ignorant arrogant elitest assholes.

    Default Old linemen still working?

    Featured Sponsorr

Does anyone know of a lineman who could still do linework at age 70, or 65 or even 62. Of course there are exception, 1:500 or 1:250 but very few can still actually do line work past age 62.

Don't raise the age to collect Social Security, raise the fair share contribution above the $106,000 income level. That would simply help to balance out the tax loopholes the rich have, but the working class do not.

Rumors of Social Security's demise are greatly exaggerated. But some powerful people keep spreading lies about the program to scare people into accepting benefit cuts.

Myth: Social Security is going broke.
Reality: There is no Social Security crisis. By 2023, Social Security will have a $4.3 trillion surplus (yes, trillion with a 'T'). It can pay out all scheduled benefits for the next quarter-century with no changes whatsoever.1 After 2037, it'll still be able to pay out 75% of scheduled benefits--and again, that's without any changes. The program started preparing for the Baby Boomers retirement decades ago.2 Anyone who insists Social Security is broke probably wants to break it themselves.

Myth: We have to raise the retirement age because people are living longer.
Reality: This is a red-herring to trick you into agreeing to benefit cuts. Retirees are living about the same amount of time as they were in the 1930s. The reason average life expectancy is higher is mostly because many fewer people die as children than did 70 years ago.3 What's more, what gains there have been are distributed very unevenly--since 1972, life expectancy increased by 6.5 years for workers in the top half of the income brackets, but by less than 2 years for those in the bottom half.4 But those intent on cutting Social Security love this argument because raising the retirement age is the same as an across-the-board benefit cut.

Myth: Benefit cuts are the only way to fix Social Security.
Reality: Social Security doesn't need to be fixed. But if we want to strengthen it, here's a better way: Make the rich pay their fair share. If the very rich paid taxes on all of their income, Social Security would be sustainable for decades to come.5 Right now, high earners only pay Social Security taxes on the first $106,000 of their income.6 But conservatives insist benefit cuts are the only way because they want to protect the super-rich from paying their fair share.

Myth: The Social Security Trust Fund has been raided and is full of IOUs
Reality: Not even close to true. The Social Security Trust Fund isn't full of IOUs, it's full of U.S. Treasury Bonds. And those bonds are backed by the full faith and credit of the United States.7 The reason Social Security holds only treasury bonds is the same reason many Americans do: The federal government has never missed a single interest payment on its debts. President Bush wanted to put Social Security funds in the stock market--which would have been disastrous--but luckily, he failed. So the trillions of dollars in the Social Security Trust Fund, which are separate from the regular budget, are as safe as can be.

Myth: Social Security adds to the deficit
Reality: It's not just wrong -- it's impossible! By law, Social Security funds are separate from the budget, and it must pay its own way. That means that Social Security can't add one penny to the deficit.1
