Has anyone heard about Duke Energy in N.Carolina hiring or releasing the freeze anytime soon?

you can give that up. was just told a few weeks ago by a manager in durham nc that they will never hire another lineman. they want to be a name only and contract everything out, sorry but thats what i was told.

thats not too smart for them ,,we tried it ,,and when a good storm comes along (somewhere else) the contractors leave ,,sometimes with no notice ,going to the highest bidder ,,leaving your local utility ,high and dry ,,,,and shorthanded,scammy

I've heard rumor, do not know for fact, that Duke is owner or owns interest in Pike, and thats why the contract out a lot of their work.
