  1. Default Vertical construction problem

Hi. Just signed up and hello to everyone. Im a firstclass/working forman and have been a lineman for 23 years. Most of our system is 13.8, 4 o/t copper hendrix. The problem i have is a verical construction pole for the purpose of phase rolling. It also has a 2str 3phase pull off on it. In the past few years that pole has burned up5-6 times.just from pine tree branches. Are there and longterm primary deadend covers out there that we can use? Any ideas?

Double dead end the first pole in on the lateral, replace first span of #2 stranded bare with #2 stranded Hendrix or aerial cable , pine tree can continue to drop limbs but they will all be on insulated wire, if they aren't big enough to tear the phases down your problem is solved.
