Nope, never seen one, but did a job for an army base in our territory, the army was spending big bucks installing new electronic targets. They also were installing some type of track where a vehicle would be pulled and used as a target. We installed about 6 or 7 transformers throughout the range and put them behind concrete walls with berms that look very similar to that pic.

on a side note, at the same base during live fire exercises a cobra pilot took out a 3 phase pad mount with a round. I always wondered how much sh!t he ate for doing that......

Those pilots are warrant officers, pretty untouchable. He could always say the transformer looked like a tank. Those warrant officers have lots of pull, and they have different rankings, the highest make good money. One tried to have me fined and wanted to article 15 me cause I escaped a training Pow camp by jumping over double barbed wire fences to escape.I was worried....but my Infantry Captain took my side and nothing came of it.

It's a 4kv led pothead, we have some in the older parts, but I have never worked on one.

Thats what we would call a spreader head. Like Lewy says, lead cable. Mostly all gone now......
