Hell even a buck private knows you can't disrespect your CO. Did you ever hear of a fellow named Douglas McArthur? He finally got too big for his britches also. I remember it well when he was **** canned. Course you were still in diapers I expect.

Some of his staff referred to Gen. Jones as a clown. A man who was fighting in Viet Nam when McChrystal was throwing paper wads in gradeschool.

Just got caught up in his own mind. Read about his behavior while he was a cadet at West Point. What a jerk. West Point probably ought to be done away with.

Happen to be acquainted with a West Point grad. What a jerk he is. Thankfully he and the Army parted ways upon his graduation. He was lucky they didn't prosecute him. He became a vet. Feel sorry for any animals he's treating.

Well back to McChrystal. I'm betting he's history at this point.

Well...It's a NEW Day danny.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

In all military and especially American military, that kind of behavior is just stupid. It has always been the norm in our history to fire any military officer who openly disparages his superior.

Just read your history books. It's never been like that in America. Things like that left unaddressed are the seed of rebellion.

He knew better. To many people kissing those general's asses. They began to believe their own press.

Limbaugh the pimple butt is not a good role model for you Gregg.

The PR man (a civilian) who set up the interview has already been fired. That shows McChrystal knows he made a boo boo.

The bottom line, even if it was petrious ( however you spell his name ) who made the comments, he would have to go. There are some traditions in the military that can not be broken, bad mouthing the Commander In Chief in public press is one of them. When you make comments like he did, you make sure who ever is around you is trusted to keep your comments private, and for supposedly being a smart man, to make a comment like that with the a member of the press siiting in the group, just goes to show you he wont that bright. His carereer is over, he will retire and become a talking head at 50k a pop, not bad for being a bad boy. There are avenues for these guys to vent their frustrations, the lop sided press is not that avenue.

You guys got off the subject. We all do it on here.

However what you don't realize Gregg is that no matter who was Pres. during an event like this they would have been justified in firing McChrystal. G.W. or whoever. That is the point.

You are simply eat up with the dumb ass so much regarding Democrats etc. that you ignore the facts.

Any body who allows the press into their inner circle when they are disrespecting their bosses in a political way is just thumbing their nose at the Pres.

It was just stupid. A pretty good argument could be made that McChrystal really is jeopardizing the safety of his troops by such behavior. It's all about ME, ME, ME.

Probably a clever person but not wise at all. There's a difference.

You gonna get in line for his book? You know there'll be one.

It's Hard to believe McChrystal made it to the level of 4 star general. . . How does that work?

Then Obama made it to President. . .never mind.

Batt's style just really appeals to me. There is just never any doubt what he means. No BS or innuendos. Straight from the shoulder.
