Glad to know a man can sit through one and actually like them. :D

The Lake House....was that one with Bullock and Reaves in it? That was a different twist and I liked it.

By the way the little bugger(my grandson) dragged my ole butt to Ironman 2 last week......it wasnt as good as ther first one in my opinion....but a couple of hours drooling over Robert Downy Jr, and stuffing my face with greasy ole popcorn was worth it........did I mention drooling over Robert Downy Jr.? :D**** that man is gooooood looking. Some of us will never grow up I guess!;)

I've never been a fan of Downy Jr. Might be why Ironman or Sherlock didn't do a "thang" for me.http://www.avowners.com/forum/smileys/doh001.gif Or the Boss(that it didn't do a thang for him either, I mean)! :D

The Boss and I are cheap. We wait until the movies come out in dvd. :D UNLESS I see a chick flick with my g/f.

Speaking of the Wye/Wye is kind of a joke. Sorta like the old Sailor saying of, Let Us Speak of Knots. I know it's beyond your ken laddie, that's why I speak of it.

The first distribution work I ever did was with a Rat contractor. The first thing I was told about transformer banks was "You Do Not Float a Wye/Wye."

The Great Lineman you speak of. I never worked with him. I only knew him. He was a safety man who presented programs etc. for Munis and RECs. I have BS'd him quite a bit as he lived in the same town I did for awhile.

The nearest thing to discussing your abilities with him was that I asked him how long you had been a lineman when he became acquainted with you. He said how long he thought and that was it. No discussion of your expertise or anything of that nature. Don't let your imagination run away with you.

I really don't know the extent of his abilities. He was basically a distribution hand as I remember. A nice guy. I doubt if he would be considered, or would consider himself as a Great Lineman.

I really cannot recall working off a print that designated the hookup of a transformer bank. I have never seen any engineer that had the quick familiarity of bank hookups better than your average J. Lineman.

If we were assigned a job that called for 3 phase 208, we knew automatically what the hookup was. All we needed was pot size. If it called for 240 delta, likewise. 277/480 likewise. It ain't rocket science.

I have worked off prints that designated what phase to hook a single phase pot to.

We used to hang a lot of oilfield banks that varied in the voltage as the pots were special pots. Had a plethora of hookups. Had to break out the books and look them up. Ask an engineer? Ha.

You've led a sheltered life Sushi man.

Worked for WAPA once. 99% transmission maintenance. Once in Glendo,Wy. we had to hang a 3 pot bank on some ungrounded 34.5. Only about 3 of us knew how to hook it up. An engineer was sent down from the office in Casper,Wy. We said. What are you here far? He replied. I was sent to make sure this was electrically correct. After 2 of the guys hung the pots and hooked them up the engineer was asked. Well is this electrically correct? His reply. I don't know. At least he was honest.

Spoke to Don tonight. No, we didn't waste a word on your worthless ass. You're not a subject worth talkin bout.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

You think people follow you around? Man you can't look at a thread on this site without seeing a jillion of your posts. Can't avoid you. You're like a person who just keeps on butting in on a conversation.

And Don? The only other thing he mentioned was your penchant for cross dressing. Shoot we're all open minded. If that's the way you roll, that's okay by me. Just don't be so testy. Slack off on the Union bashing. Union is the best thing to ever happen to a working stiff. I remember working with a couple of non-union guys at the govt. Never could get them to join. Hell they were my friends. They didn't mind telling you that they always relished working in Union jurisdictions when they worked for a rat contractor. If it was a govt. job then they got "Union Scale". Does that mean anything to you? Union only strives to help the working hand. With few exceptions you'll always make better wages and have better benefits with Union. That's what any working hand wants.
