Nice, you should be proud.

I got one daughter about to start her dissertation for her PhD in the mental health field. She is a graduate of the public school system too. I couldnt be prouder of her intelligence, drive, and dedication to her education. All that coming from a little ole public school here in rural PA.:)

AND...Great Parental supervision and Guidance. Which is more Important than ANY "public school"...education..

That's what it takes to get a kid thru the "public School" System.

Alot easier in a public school in "Rural PA", or other "Rural" areas.:)
come on swamp, you left out that she obviously inherited her mother's brains.......geeeeeez;):eek:

There isn't a dag gum thing wrong with the public school education. And if I had to do it all over again, I'd do the same thing!!!! Let me make this CLEAR.

Good for BH's step son! That's ANOTHER thing that is HIGH on my list...........the disabled.

Went to private schools all my life and saw crack, alcohol, sex, theft, and more!

The only thing the private schools cared about was their image AND SPORTS!

Many of the kids in the private school I attended for a while bad been kicked out of public schools. They had to go to school somewhere and as long as the parents had the money they were enrolled in private school.

But, bad teachers are not the biggest part of it. In a public school, everyone must be mainstreamed. No matter the ability, they all meet must meet the same graduation requirements. Do you think that may cause a teacher to teach to the lowest common denominator? Do you think that may cause some other students to loose interest?

Imagine that we were required to build a 3-phase line, 20 miles long, and at a high standard in a described time. No matter the employees given, the tools and trucks provided, or the terrain and weather conditions, we all have to meet the same standard. Could you do it the same in Kansas, Florida, Michigan, California, Colorado? How about any of the provinces in Canada?

While the idea of "No Child Left Behind" is good, the documentation required takes too much time away from teaching.

We require teachers to teach to government mandates that have little to do with really educating a person and more about "Political Correctiveness".
