Under pressure, a New Hampshire housing complex has reversed course after banning a Navy veteran and his neighbors from displaying the American Flag in front of their homes.

It is pretty easy to explain actually swamp,

An investor or group there of, bought land, and divided it up into lots and probably put houses on them and sold them as a group...... as a retirement complex. They set up rules to live in this complex, and one of their rules is "no outside decorations". You know the people with money, and ideas, start a business venture and make the rules.....what are they called again?.................oh yeah..................capitalists.

These capitalists are not only wealthy but f#@king ignorant, they think of the American flag as a decoration, not a symbol of patriotism, respect and/or love of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA. I guess they put it in the same category as plastic pink flamingos, wind chimes, and inflatable holiday decorations.

I myself would never choose to buy a house or condo where a group of a$$holes could tell me what I could or could not do with the property I purchased. I gotta live by everyone else's rules in all other aspects of life, but that is where I would have to draw the line.

and no, swamp, I dont think it was a Barack Obama socialist conspiracy theory:D

on a side note, it does not say if the flag was torn and tattered, if so, they should be taken down, disposed of properly, and replaced. I have looked at my neighbors flag for months and it is a disgrace, it always bothered me that it was in such bad condition, but he finally replaced it a couple of weeks ago.:)

This is not anything to do with New Hampshire. Our state motto is " Live Free or Die " and we do a pretty good job of it. This has to do with home owners association saying what you can and can't display. These condo places and HOA are usally pretty liberial. When I lived in VA there was a place I was interested in, but it was contolled by a HOA, not only were their rules restrictive, but the fines you legally have to pay if you violate them. There is something terribly wrong about paying 250.00 a month HOA fee which take away your rights to what you want to do with your property. This community was about 40 miles from DC and is so typical of the area, need I say anymore?
