Ok, better find a job soon, now I am adicted to cage fighting........yes in a cage. Rippled bodies doing kung fu and other fancy wrestling moves. I am in love with Uriah Fabre and so is my 10 year old daughter. She made me wake her up the other night to watch him. Oh baby glad I am unemployed and learning the sweet things on life I have been missing. Mr. B just walks through the room thinks we are quacks obsessed with cage fighting. I should be cleaning the house but HECK NO give me Uriah Fabre baby!!!!

I've not seen this sport but I'm sure it's a tad bit different from wrestling in the 70's and my father let us watch that stuff!! Crazy.

Actually, I think it was more entertaining to see him laugh and gaff at it than watching the drama unfold on tv. :D

"Blood Sport" LA. "Blood Sport".

AMERICA LOVES stuff like this. I use to really like Boxing, but, Boxing.... is "old school".

"Progress" LA. Cage Fighting is "REAL". That's how fights REALLY are nowdays. And, the Blood Lust, is just there in people.

They particularly like the part where if the dude don't "Tap out"....he's gonna die.
And I'll tell ya what, that Brock....is one scarey dude...

I don't know man.....I don't think that arm lock would work with Lesnar...

WCLR

Lesnar has already lost to a knee bar to a has been in Frank Mir. I couldnt tell you the last time a top tier fighter has lost to a knee bar or any leg lock. Fedor would eat his lunch and make him like it. There is not a HW alive right now that can beat Fedor. The HW class as a whole is weak in the UFC compared to other organizations right now.

Lesnar is not even the best HW in the UFC, much less in the world. Fedor's only loss was YEARS ago due to an illegal strike (elbow to his eyebrow) that was missed by the ref. Thats his only blemish PERIOD. He has crushed the likes of Arlovski (who was an UFC HW champ and defended the title), took out Sylvia in 36 seconds (who was 2x UFC Champ and defended twice), Mark Coleman (who won the first ever UFC HW title), Nogueira TWO TIMES(who won Pride's HW title and UFC HW title), and Cro Cop who was in his prime at the time.

Safe to say Fedor demolishes anyone that has won an UFC title. Josh Barnett is next on the list on August 1st.

Ask any MMA fighter who the best HW in the world is and all of them would tell you Fedor unless its Frank Mir or Brock Lesnar.

ur right Tramp Uria show boats and Brown has beat him in the past but if Brown cant finish a man that broke 1 hand in the first and i think the 2nd in the 2nd round how can u not think it COULD have come out the other way?

It was just his right he broke. They showed something on mmaweekly that he posted the xrays and his right hand was broke in 2 or 3 places or more. I think he said he did it in the first round. Said he tried to finish the choke he had but just couldnt pull hard enough on that right hand. It sucks, but he'll be back in no time with the belt I think.

He broke it in the first round. I was glad Mike Brown was not a jerk about it. I can not imagine facing a heavy hand guy like Mike when Uriah was down one hand to protect himself. I was dying when his hand was slipping out. He never lets anyone get out. It really stinks I have to wait probably 6 months to see a rematch........this is worse than waiting for NFL...........or waiting for my neighbor the big Eagles fan finally win the super bowl and listen to them bitch at McNabe all season.

I felt like I was on the WII trying to punch for him. My daughter kept telling me to sit down I could not help him. I hope she doesnt go to school and tell them I wake her up to watch cage fighting.

Some of those guys are plain nuts. I like the clean cut guys without the gawdy tatoo's. One guy is called the Cowboy....I thought he would get his clock cleaned. He looked a little frail.........he kicked butt.

I wish Uriah Faber was my school teacher.........sigh

The man you are thinking about is David "Cowboy" Cerrone. He's always had a small frame but he is one tough guy.

Uriah might be out longer than 6 months. The commission will suspend him for the broken hand then he has to get clearance from a doctor to even be eligible to fight. Then add 2-3+ months of training time for his next fight and it could be near a year before he gets to fight.

Uh....no ma'am. Is it me? Or does he kinda favor John Travolta? :D

Lizzy Bordon

Oh your right, its the eyes, chiseled chin. I liked John Travolta in the 70's but the polyester just kills it.

The Cowboy was unbelievable. Truthfully I did not expect that butt kicking from him. Looks are deceiving.

I like the two feather weights also. One looks like David Archilletta from American idol.

I can not believe I am hooked on cage fighting......I am really pissed about Uriajah. I saw the x-ray looked real bad. I am sure he will keep working out but those bones have to hurt, I would be worried about the first head punch and re breaking it.

Some of these guys really do not have the real muscle look but they are just plains nuts. Some are so quick that the big bulky guy gets knocked right out.

I am so bummed I have to pick a new favorite for now. I like Miquel Torres did you see his record 36-1.

Bowles cracks me up. He looks like a nerd and then unleashes hells fury. Bet he was picked on a lot in school has a bunch of pent up anger.

Not hardly a "has been". The fight between him and Brock...will be a hell of a fight. We'll see....July 16th, Right?

I gotta figure out how to do Pay for view on THAT one.

If there is one thing I love its MMA. I've been hooked since about UFC 5. I do admit I'm more of an Affliction/Pride/Dream fan than UFC fan. I hated to see Pride go.

On Mir we'll just have to disagree:D He has never been the same after the motorcycle accident. He has not beaten anyone to impress me this time around and I still think Brock is a joke. I seriously think Couture overlooked him bad and didnt realize his strength. You find someone that can halfass match his strength, and he's done. He has no ground game and no defense against the chokes.

JMHO

PS-Cant wait for the Rampage/Evans fight. Rampage is back!

Ok, next fight lets take a guess at who is going to win by what type of take down, tap out, round and time......see who gets the closest to the match.

Lost Art wish you did not mention the John Travolta thing does kind of burst my bubble and hearing "Staying Alive" and polyester and the features you mentioned..........OMG. I did absolutely love John in his hay day in Welcome back Cotter. Vinnie Barbarino..........would be cool to see him in a cage in his yellow leisure suit and getting his lights out when he does his famous stick his hand straight up in the air thing........bam.

LOL! Sorry I ruined it for ya Liz, but Travolta came straight to my mind when I saw that pic. My kids use to tease me about disco. I told them that disco wasn't my THANG. It looked silly to me even back then! I don't know, I just never got "into" the disco scene.

Now, Dirty Dancing was a different story.............................

Well Mir got his ass whooped and GSP dominated as usual. I really loved seeing Hendo knock out Bisping as I cant stand him and the way he runs his mouth. Hendo's right hand proved that much...

I still say the Heavyweight Division in the UFC is WEAK! If you want to see the real HW's throwdown watch the Affliction: Trilogy card that comes on August 1st. Fedor vs. Josh Barnett.

Great night of fights. Affliction, all though few and far between, does have elite level fighters. Too bad the UFC won't allow one fights deals instead of contracts that won't allow them to fight outside the UFC, then we would be able to see some real fights against the best fighters out there.

Although they are pushing Kimbo too hard, maybe the next UF season will bring some new talent to the heavyweight pool.

If they would have allowed Fedor to still compete in his Sambo tournaments he would have been with the UFC right now. He called it a "slave contract" and wouldnt sign. Then they were close to actually co-promoting a show but it ended with Affliction's CEO telling Dana White to go to hell. The UFC has had their chances but it wont get any better short term.

I think if Cro Cop wins a few (he just got a 3 fight deal with the UFC this week) he could get a shot but since his knee surgery he hasnt been the same.
