school and job search

Im 28 and live near buffalo, Ny. Im planning to go to school in trenton,ga at the southeast lineman school next january and wanted to see if anyone knew anything about the school? Also with the way the econmy is are there still alot of lineman jobs avalible? I know they laid of alot of penelec lineman in pa. I would like to get a job back near home but dont want to leave my job now to have to move to bfe for a job or not even be able to find one when i get out. HELP!!!

I would recomend you look into an apprenticeship as opposed to going to a line college. Most of the graduates that I have met from that type of education still need job experience. It's not a bad place to start, but It will not make you a Journeyman Lineman. It may however, get you a leg up at an interview with a local or utility. Try this http://www.neat1968.org/
