I posted a question about women's boots and no posts. I know there's female lineman out there. Maybe a name change to this thread other then, "Ladies Lounge" could bring more women to look.:D

I hear that.
How bout changin it to "Linewomen".
It ain't a "Lounge". This is a LINEMANSBoard. With plenty of room for "Linewomen".
Leave the "Ladies Lounge" for, Lineman's wives.

Ok.
Make a Thread for "Women LINEWORKERS".
No "wives" BS...post that crap in the "Ladys Lounge".
WHEN and IF...
a WOMAN Lineworker, posts a comment in that thread....I'd be VERY interested in hearing and talking to her....seriously.
Otherwise....I remain unconvinced that "women" should be considered as "equals" to men in Linework. Sorry LA....."Go where ya wanna go, do what ya wanna do"....damn...Can't remember the name of that group...
I think it was the "Mamas and the Papas".....anyway.....
Ya better be able to "carry your weight".
All that said.....
You'd STILL be a "distraction"...a "Turd in the punchbowl". And...ya know exactly what I'm talkin bout....
But....Nowdays? Where ya can file a law suit for "Discrimination"....shit...
ANYBODY can be a "Lineman".:D

Pa Ben's question probably should have been posted in "Linework Forum". I think it's nice having a place where our spouses/partners/girlfriends can communicate with each other. Having a place for them here shows that we want them to have an interest in our careers and what goes on in our lives. After all, many of us spend more time with our coworkers than we do at home. It's great having you taking care of this website for us, Lost Art!:D

Swamp, first of all...there are not many women posting here. It's just a fact Jack.
Second, and this is the way I feel about it, if a woman wants to post about linework--- that's in the field, why can't she post in the Linework Forum like the rest of you guys? I mean, that's what it's there for, right?
Heck, if ANY WOMAN----wife or female lineworker--has a question why can't she post it in the Linework Forum? Why do we need to make separate places for them here?
I post there some---and it has nothing to do with me being a mod here. I was posting and answering questions about linework long, long, before I really knew anyone here or knew the owner of this site. I was curious and interested. I WANTED to KNOW. I wanted different opinions-------and boy did I get them and still do! :D
Why put us all in catagories? Byron opened up this forum so women can ask each other things without messing up the Linework Forum with whatnot posting. Whatnot meaning just general info about ordinary women being married to ordinary linemen. Some of this stuff isn't about the "work", but it relates to the work or being married to that guy that does the work. Heh.
I'm sorry PA BEN didn't get an answer from a "female" lineworker. I've not been here as long as many of you, but I have a feeling there aren't very many female lineworkers posting here. Or atleast reading these threads everyday like some of you guys.
If I'm wrong, I hope all the female lineman reading this thread posts will let me know----I've seen one in the last year post here and that was linetrampboozie----and she flew in and flew out. Climber14 is in training. I wish women would post here more, but they just don't. And there is not enough female traffic to make another forum----in my honest opinion. But, I'll take it to Byron if you want me to.
Not many women post here---even Lineman wives. It's just a fact. http://www.avowners.com/forum/smileys/doh001.gif

Hey buddy! Long time no see'em! You know Swamp and I----we will go rounds, but it's all good. Really.
Thanks buddy, but I really don't do much here unless someone requests something and then....half the time I'm just the grunt! LOL! Yeah, I take to my superintendent----Byron. :D

Know WHY there's not many 'Women" postin here? Cause....It ain't a "Womans" forum. It's an Open Fourm. It would be really cool if ...somehow...you could create a REAL "Womens" forum where ONLY women could come and post questions, and get honest answers from other "Line Women"....Wives, or actual "Line Women". Figure that out, and ya might get a hell of alot more "Input".
As long as it's on "Open Forun"....Us LineMEN are gonna come here, read and give out 2 cents of bullshit. As long as That's allowed....there will never be serious "Women" input.
As for linetrampboozie....MS. Cbottles....LINEWOMAN, I'm sorry she didn't come back. THAT Lady is a LINEMAN....and I really hope she comes back and posts...in the "Linemans Forum".
"Ordinary Women, bein married to Ordinary Linemen". Generally have questions that...just don't "work" in the Linework Forum. It's also....sorta uncomfortable for Women....wives of Linemen, to post questions, believe it or not. You exclueded of course My lady.:D
Figure out how to make a REAL "Women's Only" forum. I think that could turn into a really cool thing.
Not all "Line wives" got your type of.....how should I say this...."Bravado"?

What? Why am I "stirrin shit"?
You afraid of your wife gettin on a Real "Women's only forum"?:D
And Yes,...I have been known to "Stir some shit in my time". Actually, this was an honest suggestion. Let "Linewives" TALK. In a Private atmosphere.
Away from "Shit Stirrers" like me.

This forum is called "Ladies' Lounge"!:D It's pretty simple to enjoy the "Lineman Forums" without seeing what the Ladies have to say - don't click on the "Ladies' Lounge" forum!!!!

LOL! Swamp you are a shit stirrin' son of a rascal and you know it! :D But, ya ain't the only one stirrin' around here....that's for dang sure!
And you know what? There are ladies that read this forum. But, maybe you guys aren't worth responding to. Have ya ever thought of that? :D
If the ladies would like a closed and private forum, all they have to do is ask. Send me a PM or email me and I'll send the word to Byron. But, since we (the ladies here) are very few, we just use the private message (PM) option anyway. http://www.avowners.com/forum/smileys/doh001.gif

women aren't meant for linework they are meant for linemen, i have only been in the zone with one linewoman and she couldn't cut it, albeit several men that i have worked with couldn't cut it either, so i say if you can't cut it stay on the ground, there is work to be done down below
