RAWALPINDI, Pakistan - Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto was killed Thursday in a suicide attack as she drove away from a campaign rally attended by thousands of supporters, aides said.
May her God be with her and her family and supporters.
She was the best hope of peace in the area.
There's no way a woman will ever be a leader over there until they change there belief's. "Women are like dogs to the men over there". "If you don't believe in there god, you die". That whole area is a long way from peace. I just hope they don't use a nuke in the name of there god.:(

We're talking about peace in the Regen. She did get the boot and would be in jail if she didn't leave when she did. All was forgiven so she came back to get killed. They still need to change there belief's.

I dont disagree with that principle generally Koga, the problem with Pakistan is that the country is a nuclear power. Taking the position of "hands off" would not be a prudent course of action in this particular situation, we cannot allow Pakistan to fall into the fundemental Islamists hands I.E. Iran after the fall of the Shah. Imagine a rogue Pakistani state lead by the Muhajadeen with nuclear capability....not good.
many more little 2 bit countries can lay claim to nuclear programs. Should we jump through hoops and go crazy everytime. As Ive stated before, we the public, aint privliged to the whole story and never will be. But its time to stop trying to run everyone elses buisness when our own aint doin real good, Ya know ? Guess thats why I aint the president.

Certainly it would be hoped they would pass over Canada. But then so would the incoming, maybe. Gulp!!!
But, and this is the reason I would be concerned that Bhutto was assasinated, because Pakistan is vital to NATO to complete the mission in Afaganistan and if Pakistan plunges into the kaos of civil war any mission in Afganistan would be impossible.
That is why Al Qaeda is a suspect.
Also with Pakistan having nukes, 60 or more so I understand, it dosen't take a great amount of imagination to see that a suicide mission could put a nuke in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, LA, San Diego or Vancouver Canada. A fast cigarette boat with a nuke IED could be into any harbor with very little chance of stopping it.
Ask any Democrat, and they'll say "What terror threat? We don't belong in the middle east. Let's negotiate a peace".
Israel would be at huge risk.
Gee, professor. Do you really think so?;)
A little less than 100 years ago 1 bullet started the Great War. I wonder what a nuke would do in this century?????
It would set up the next war to be fought with rocks and sticks. Bad things are brewing folks. Very bad things.

My point all along. Well said.
If it is a fight worth fighting then why do we go it alone? There will always be someone out there to fight with. That you can count on.

Anyone remember when the students in China protested and there was one man who stood in front of the tank? In the end he didn't change anything but at least he tried.

That one man changed very much in China. Compare China today to what it was when that man stood before a tank. Can you think of any other country that has change so much in such a short time period of time. His bravery and desire for freedom did not go unnoticed by China's government. They learned that if they didn't make changes they would lose control.
One man's bravery and fortitude can change every thing. Lech Walenza is another brave man who was one of the primary reasons for the collapse of communism in Europe.

ok, he's hired. How many thousands of our beloved troops need to die to stop this tank? This is not China. Sorry.

I was tring to make a comparision between standing up for doing whats right and just turning your back and pretending it doesn't involve me. In other words do whats right even if you have to do it alone as a country. Alot of people in the world live free because of the USA and unfortunatly freedom isn't FREE.
