Yeah, but don't forget that the Christians just kidnapped the Yuletide celebrations and rebranded them in the first place. The original festivities were based on the turning of the year and the onset of longer daylight hours.
I think one of the most pleasing of those celebrations is the Roman Saturnalia. You can read about it here:-
