I watched one of our guys use this piece of crap yesterday. This is about the most worthless piece of **** I have seen in a long time. Also heard OSHA was going to make it a rule and there for we would have to use it. Well when that happens I guess I will be strictly a bucket baby. And if someone gets hurt and ya have to get em down they might as well fire me cause I aint wasting time with one to get to the man. Just another case of someone who don't and never have , making bull **** rules for those that do.What a piece of garbage.

I here your pain bro. here at national grid we've had to wear it for the last four years now. its not too bad on a nice clean pole but try using it on a pole with a few risers on it and multible cable tv and phone services on it. I found its easier to throw a 28 foot ladder up the pole. at least that gets you up above the secondary if your lucky. our rule is as long as your belted in with an ubstruction withen two feet you can use your regular safety. I also keep a retractable seat belt type safety on my belt so whenever I have to climb over a ubstruction I can belt in over top of it so I'm always belted in. In an emergancy pole top rescue were not required to wear it. Have you noticed the bucksqueeze puts a hell of lot more pressure on your hips?
