Ok man, I know your out there in more ways than one but holding out on where to get one of these fine tools! I've got my local supplier working on this and I'll post it if he can come up with a way to get some. I want to give one to a buddy for Christmas and have my family get one for me too! I cant wait to cut the first wire with it!

When it comes to the crunch though, it's just a comemmorative logo lasered onto an ordinary tool.
The question is.... If you got a set would you use them or just keep them as a collectors item? That said, laser engraving machines are widespread these days. It wouldn't actually be too hard to run off a large batch of copies.
I was getting a new pair of cutters recently (snips) having foolishly left my others lying where a member of the public lifted them. It made me realise just how much you appreciate good tools when you've been doing electrical work for over quarter of a century. The shape of the tools head, angle of the blades, strength and general "feel" are all important when you can expect to be stripping and cutting tens of thousands of wires with them. I went for my fave Knippex. One of the more expensive tools in the shop, but worth every penny.
I'll give you my address! :)
Clive I have to agree with you on most points. Good tools make the trade that much easier and bad tools make it a *****. I used to carry a junk pair of pliers crescent wrench and hammer and when someone asked me to borrow I'd pass them on. Rarely did a person ask twice to borrow my tools. I got introuble when the head came off the hamer one day. A while later a guy I loaned the crescent wrench to told me he did me a favor and threw it away. It was a 15" that the jaw had been welded on. The pliers ... who knows.
The point on the kliens is that they are the best linemans pliers on the market. In the industry here you don't ask for pliers, you ask to borrow someones "Klines" It's kind of like the "Hoover" of the lineman pliers world.
I think the box is cool and will present one to Myk if I get the chance. He is one of those guys who still has and uses his dads tools that were turn of the last century.

Called a buddy who owns a supply store. asked him for the price .... I figured $60-90 bucks and I'd get two , One for Myk and one for me. My buddy calls my wife and tells her the price. She buys it for my Christmas Present. **** ... If I know how expensive they were I'd of had a new belt out of it instead!

These will go great with my gold plated bashlin hooks and my diamond encrusted lowell wrench; which I use all the time. And only $200! what a deal. I'll take a dozen.
