Well here goes.....two liney's on call recived a call out to a house with low volts after doing some test's they narrowed it down to being a dud single phase tranny but by this time they were due for stand down, that's when me and a couple of fella's rock up the next day to change the tranny for them (you find it you fix it I reckon), **** of a spot, no access for bucket truck so all done off a ladder and changed T/X with a herbie and winch. Come time to commission t/x closed in EDO's and proceeded with voltage checks:confused: same problem:confused: used modiewark and there seemed to be 11kv on both phases up top but no 240 coming out, surely not two dud tranny's especially this one being a brand new ABB. So we's decided to preform a line patrol and low and be hold a burnt off bridge on the take off pole;) a tricky one to spot as there were no other call's from customer's that night on that tee-off (later found out only a farm house and pumps- no one home). So there was not really 11kv on both phases up top just the one but returning back threw the system. We all learnt a valuable lesson that day;) Has any one else come across this?
