Everyone has something to say about their business manager, all over the country and I am not talking about just lineman- but electricians as well. The only BAs that really disgust me are the ones who don't know what is going in the field, and wear golf apparel and penny loafers. And yet they get re-elected and re-elected?
I loved my old BA in Warren OH who use to go on those trips and he would itemize his hot dogs- and show all the members his expenses. And I doubt if he ever swung a club in his life.
If every *****es about if the elections are rigged, why don't they go to a third party for vote count. Just like the accounting firms do at beauty pageants or the Jimmy Carter foundation does for third world countries. Maybe will get those BAs that worked in the tools for twenty years, know what men in the field is going through their heads. It is scaring me the Professional BA ego- being too aloof of the rank and file, not being aware of their jurisdictions. Taking care of his old buddies with good rate jobs- who always are the vote counters at election time.
I think that is what is killing us the rank and file. If you raise your voice its taboo. Somehow your forgotten on the books. You commit carreer suicide if you abide by the contract. Look I worked from the West Coast to the East Coast in the last six months, just my last hard tramping before my child gets born. In the crew rooms we are tight...on the worksite we are tight... but once you go to the union hall of some of these locals- the reps are unaccessible.
