For all of you looking at becoming a potential line superintendant. Be careful they're looking to sucker another one in. Lot of great folks are there but management is impossible. Four old vets been through there in as many years. Don't let'em get you.

Won't let you do your job. The G.M. thinks he's a lineman. Actually thinks he knows all there is to know in life. Just got hit in the ass by the lucky stick. Was a parts man in the auto shop for Georgia power. Got a hard-on for lineman while there. And then decided he could retaliate by becoming a manager. Now he thinks that any monkey can be taught to do line work. And if the super doesn't do the job as he envisions that he will toss him to the wolves. Go get another and start over again. Last week I couldn't spell General Manager and CEO this week I are one.

I had a manager just like that which helped me decide retirement was a much better option. But in the same breath the hands down best manager i ever had had no line experience difference was he knew it and actually listened to his people. I spoze if he wudda lasted a few more years I would have too.
