Private Messages: The Pop Up Thingy

Okay, I've had some grief (ribbin' and teasing from the peanut gallery) on the "pop up" version of the Private Message. So, I'm going to walk some of you to this pop up thingy. :D And you can decide if you want it or not.

Unless you look up to the upper right hand corner of your computer on this site, you might miss some messages. In the past, I've had a few of you say you didn't even know you had a message. So, unless you look up there, you probably will miss it. It looks like this

But, if you want to have a "pop up" notification you have to go here:

Step 1. USER CP (upper lefthand corner)

Step 2. Control Panel > Settings & Options> Edit Options

Click on edit options.

Step 3. Go to the box that is "Messaging & Notification"

Click on Enable Private Messaging

If you don't want PM's then click off the check.



Now for the POP UP thingy.....go to the bottom of this same box and click on Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up

And that is the pop up thing I'm talking about. Don't be skeered guys it can come out of no where and if you are deep into your cups, beware.....you could lose some of your precious drops of Papa's Recipe.

I've had that "pop-up thingy" since I set up my account, and I also get e-mail messages whenever a certain someone sends me a private message!;)
By the way, I tried clicking on the "private message" link in your post, as I was wondering if it would take me to your private messages!:eek:

i've had mine on pop up not long after i joined lol.:cool:

LOL! I'm tellin' you guys that you aren't missing a dag gum thing! Honestly!! I'm about as average as you will ever see or hear from! I'm borderline dull and boring. But, some of you don't find out until after a few PM's from me! LOL! However, I know some of you are perfect gentlemen and I appreciate it. I really do.

Well..........so most of you are saying that Woody already KNOWS I'm boring???? :D Heh. Smart man, that Woody....turning off his PM's. ;)
