I'm kinda bored so here is some B.S. topic.

What kind of sports are you into?

I hope I can get Clive and maybe an Aussie or two to agree that RUGBY is the best game EVER. I played for a couple of years in college(forward). More fun you can imagine.
I played baseball when I was a kid until I got my teeth knocked out on a pop fly that was in the sun. But I still follow the Tigers.

Anyhoo, what sports do you like to participate in/spectate and why?

Well, must I say????? I think most everyone here knows my sport! :D

And no, it's not dbrown20

Heh, heh, heh.

Yes, it's college football. I'm trying to be humble here and not mention my team.........but gosh that is hard. :D

Go Gators!!

Participate in? Ummm........it's been a while, but I like basketball. And I like horseshoes. But, recently it's only been a game of pool.

I played many of the sports up until about 8 to 10 yrs ago and well.........now, I am leary of hurting myself! It's not for the lack of not wanting to though!

For me, football was the only game that mattered. I played in high school, and 1 year in college. That ended with a blown out knee. I played baseball as a kid, but these days I play raquetball and softball.
As a spectator, I think I like hockey the most. Controlled violence, fist fights, and some very graceful skating all rolled into one. Good stuff. I don't watch football as much as I used to, but I still like it (Go Giants!!). Baseball is an occasional thing. What I am starting to get into is NASCAR racing. Don't know a whole lot about the sport, but I attend a race each year(Dover, DE.) and I really enjoy it.

Watching:
Pro football I'm a diehard Redskins fan, even the years that they should be renamed the Deadskins.
Doing:
Target shooting, mainly pistol but I like the rifle as well, just fewer places I can practice with a rifle. (shot a 385-16x out of 400 last weekend)

Rugby is definitely one of the more "dignified" sports here. Does pinball count as a sport?

Only if you go for the diving saves.

By the way Clive. Did you play rugby? I'd guess you were a lock(second row) like me. I played the 8 man spot sometimes too and I was a prop for a few 7's games

I didn't know anything about Rugby until my daughter started playing. I played football and hockey and my son likewise.

Anyhow, she got a Rugby scholarship to University. She played Outside Center. Two times All-Conferance and one semester on an exchange to Northumbria U in Newcastle, UK.

Hey Big C, you probably know that place?

It would probably have been my ideal sort given my size and weight. Alas I never really got the chance to do it.

Whenever I visit America I get asked if I'm a footballer.
