I never had a problem with non-union. Sit in bars buying each other drinks and discussed their working conditions and ours in a nice quite setting. I just feel in my day we where much better trained, paid, and safer. Due to new laws, that gap is closing. I have never regretted going union. Never will. But that is an American CHOICE.
I read Centerpoints bitching about local 66 everyday. Well a lot of it is true. I first stepped into Houston Light and Powers Docks in 1967. There where better working condition all around, but I was born there. He has the choice as everyone else MOVE. But he complained about California while there. Hell in local 1249 in the 1980s Ruby and I both made way to much money there. (YEAH RIGHT)
We are lineman first. Protect the trade from outside sources. There is a shorage of lineman. Train new ones and wac5th your backs from importing outside help under the immigration laws of manpower shortages.
